Live event fashion sketching

Solid-colored garments can take less time while more complex garments and layers can take up to 10 minutes.

How it works:

  1. Set up — I arrive at least a half hour early to set up a compact sketching station with all my drawing materials. It is preferable that you provide a clean and comfortable table and chair that fit with your event setup. I can bring my own personal lighting if necessary. You can provide your own branded paper or I can bring my own preferred sketching surface.

  2. Live sketching — Guests can pose for 7-10 minutes, depending on the complexity of their garments and if they are wearing prints or clothes with embellishments (solid colors result in faster illustrations). For timing and convenience, I sketch with markers and colored pencils. Alternatively, guests may pose for a picture and I can create the sketch with that during your event.

  3. Timing — is based on the creation of a single portrait of one person. Group portraits will take longer, 5-10 minutes per person.

  4. Take home art— Each guest walks away with a fashionable signed portrait, ready to frame and share. I can provide compostable cellophane and recyclable acid-free glassine bags to keep each illustration safe.


Pricing:

Pricing starts at $200 per hour with a 3-hour minimum.

Pricing includes all materials, ~7-9 guests per hour with transition times, and travel within the metropolitan San Diego area.

Events outside of the city of San Diego where extensive travel or lodging are necessary will incur an additional fee to cover expenses.


Add-ons available:

Custom branded paper (your event logo or branding)— this will require at least one week to create.

Drawings of guests who were not able to get their portraits done during the event. This is recommended for events in which the guest number is not achievable within the time frame. Keep in mind that I can get 6-7 full color illustrations completed within an hour.
